Live Edge Living
This 1970's living room in North Vancouver with an original wood fireplace was totally transformed from an uninspiring and under utilized TV room to a light and refreshed living /dining space. I worked with this young family to brighten up the rooms and give it some much needed style. Together we chose elements to personalize the space. We kept a TV in the room for movie nights on a TV easel. So fun!
The dining area was non-existent except for a very dated oversized chandelier and the space was being used for a bicycle parking spot! The dated crystal chandelier was removed and replaced with a contemporary mobile style light. The warmth and shine of the gold fixture draws the eye to the custom designed live edge Western Maple dining table. The natural dramatic beauty of the table created the perfect statement piece. It sets the mood for warm casual family living, entertaining and dining in style.
Elaine was professional, supportive, fun and flexible along the way and worked to our timeline. Elaine has a knack for identifying a client’s taste and style and incorporating that into the design. She has a great sense of colour/style and helped us create a truly amazing space. We both enjoyed our time working with her. The end result is a masterpiece that we will enjoy for many years to come. I would highly recommend Elaine for any large or small project. She is a gifted designer and has now become a friend. We will be calling her again for future projects.
